Yes, today is Friday. Yipee! Lookout week-end, ’cause here I come… Because week-ends were made for fun. Did I just age myself with that?
Anyhow, I decided to play with this weeks’ I Heart Faces Fix-It-Friday Challenge. Although I did not take the photo, I love putting my spin on a photo and discovering what kind of emotion I can create.
Here’s my take on the photo, starting with the original first:
I cropped the photo because I wanted to focus on the little girl’s eyes, since they are so beautiful and naturally draw you in. I also warmed up the photo a bit to convey a happy feeling. Think warm and fuzzy.

Here’s my edit, starting with the original first.
I cropped the photo to bring you into her beautiful little face. I also converted it to b&w to enhance the emotion and added some textures on top. I always seems to like b&w photos with textures.
Have a great weekend! And head on over to I Heart Faces to see more great edits!

Today is Fix-It-Friday at I Heart Faces, and although I started editing this photo this morning, I finally got back to it just now. You know, things like LIFE got in the way (go figure!) and it IS still Friday here on the West Coast…
So here it is, starting with the original version first, and my edited version second:
I liked the feeling of the little girl being so small compared to the large field so I kept the crop to a minimum. I also thought the original photo brought the eye immediately to the pumpkins instead of the girl, so I washed out the color of the pumpkins. I also relate pumpkins and pumpkin patches to spookiness, so I added a ghostly haze to the photo with a little bit of warmth. There are friendly, warm ghosts, right? Like Casper?
