Valentine’s Day. The day to receive flowers, chocolate or maybe even jewelry.

But not for me. I got something ever better than all three.

If you haven’t tried Bottega Louie’s macarons, you haven’t really experienced true bliss from a cookie. And this is coming from a gal who doesn’t like cookies. Even ones with chocolate chips.

Bottega Louie’s macarons are the perfect combination of crunchy, smooth and chewy. You bite into a crispy, fluffy cookie on the outside only to discover a soft, divine cream center underneath the crunchy exterior. Sweet enough, but not too sweet.

Now only if we received presents for St. Patrick’s Day…

There are many scrumptious desserts out there, very fancy, creative and delicious. But I always come crawling back to the basic brownie. To me, it’s perfect. In one bite you can taste the rich chocolate comforting your soul, along with the perfect amount of cake that’s not too chewy or not too dense. Even better when washed down with a glass of milk. Ahh, brownies…
