Who knew?

Yes, I’m a mom. And yes, I live in a bubble. So who knew that I lived so close to a lake? I mean, I’ve seen the exit while driving on the freeway, but I’ve only passed it.

Thanks to my friend Rose, we discovered how much fun it is going the lake on a warm summer day, even if it’s for only a couple of hours. The kids were able to play on the playground, feed the ducks and dip their toes in the water (thanks, again Rose for holding my 1 1/2-year-old back since he tried numerous attempts to actually jump in and swim in the water.) Looks like we’re going to the lake more often.
